Slow Down

Take time to slow down and enjoy life a little. I know I don’t normally send out three posts in one week, but this is important.

This past week I’ve encountered more than one seriously impatient driver. I know everyone is rushed and in a hurry, but driving 50 mph in a school zone is NOT cool. Tail-gating someone who is driving the legal limit at any time is NOT cool. Blasting through residential intersections because you are in too much of a hurry to follow the rules of the road and stop is NOT cool.

I know we are all busy, but it all falls back to time management, which I’ve talked about quite a bit on this blog. Please for the sake of everyone you come in contact with, schedule five extra minutes into your commute. Who knows you may save a life, and that life may be yours.

Thanks for a timely reminder. I try to be a careful driver. And your post is also a reminder to be an especially watchful defensive driver during this time crunch season. God probably did not mean for us to pack the time so fully with doings that hinder us in really taking time to just focus on Jesus.

Thanks for commenting Janice. I believe your are correct in saying God did not intend for us to cram so much into this time of year. My mom and I were having a similar conversation this morning. Blessings, Kimberly

The problem is that the drivers you have noticed likely have no care, no thought for anyone but themselves. To make them listen you’d….nope can’t come up with anything that would make some of those people listen. I guess that’s why we have speed bumps and police officers :>( In the meantime I’m also with you and KRJ.
