Edge Of Truth By Kimberly Rose Johnson Releases
Tomorrow is the big day. Edge Of Truth which has literally been sitting on my computer in one form or another since 2007. This is the book that landed me a literary agent. It also made it to committee and caught the eye of an editor at a large publishing house, but it was ultimately not picked up by a publisher. I have been so busy writing new books that I kind of forgot about it until about a year ago when my current publisher asked me what I was going to do with it. At the time she asked I was super busy trying to meet a contract deadline…

I’m Supposed to Relax?
I’ve been told more than once that my muscles are tense or tight depending on who is working on them. Yep, I am aware. I feel the pain. But anyone who knows me also knows I’m a rather chill person. I am generally calm and don’t get worked up easily. So why are my muscles always so tight? I think it’s because I don’t practice relaxing. I tend to be always working on thinking about working–a pitfall of being self employed. I have been actively trying to figure out things that help me relax and I’ve come up with a few. Breathing deeply. Playing the piano. Doing something out of…

To help you grow your collection and take a multi-stop virtual vacation, I have several discounted books this week. The Reluctant groom is only 99¢ until July 19th. Why I Write Christian Romance by Kimberly Rose Johnson
A friend recently asked me why I write Christian romance. She was in the process of writing a blog post and asking the question to several writers in this genre. I thought you might be interested in my answer. This is exactly what I sent her. I write Christian romance because I love to read Christian romance. I was a reader long before I was a writer. In the beginning of my career I attempted to write a sweet romance and failed. I didn’t know how to take God out of the equation. I can’t imagine trying to face life’s trials without Him. Since that time, I’ve managed to write…

Welcoming Summer
From watching the news and listening to others on social media I see that summer has arrived. We are finally having summer weather in Oregon. 🙂 It’s a rare treat for me to have both of my boys home at the same time, but for two days, I was able to enjoy having my entire family together. It almost felt like Christmas lol. For dinner I made a family favorite–lasagna, and we even all sat a the table together for dinner. That was rare when they were teens due to their after school activities taking up much of the evening. Now they are both college graduates! In preparation for my…

An Encore For Estelle The Story Behind the Story
The Story Behind the Writing of Encore for Estelle By Kimberly Rose Johnson Writing An Encore for Estelle was an experience like no other for me. I wrote it in about five weeks not including editing time. I generally like three to four months to write a story. However, that was not possible with this book since I wanted to release it four months after I released, A Love Song for Kayla, the first book in my Melodies of Love series. I had received the rights back on this book from my publisher and wanted to get it up on Amazon before Valentine’s Day. I succeeded, but didn’t consider…
