  • When All Else Fails Do Brunch

What does brunch have to do with life going wrong? Absolutely nothing…sort of.   When I came up with the title I literally thought I’d show you how having brunch with friends can make life better. I still think it can, lol but that’s really not all that helpful. Instead I’ll use brunch as an acronym to give you concrete ways to deal with life when it has you by the throat. Before I begin, let’s talk about the picture above. You might recognize the scripture verse noted. It begins with trust in the Lord with all your heart. That might leave you scratching your head as to how a…

  • Spring Has Sprung?

A couple of weeks ago we were blessed with sunshine and spring flowers. For all intents and purposes spring had sprung. However, the sunshine only lasted for a day. I’m still holding onto the hope of sunny days to come. If you live in an area still being visited by winter, you have my sympathy. We spent that one day of nice weather visiting a nursery. I was so excited to see flowers, herbs, and veggie starts–I’m not even a gardener. I often say I have a black thumb, yet this year I’ve purchased four indoor plants in addition to the flowers, herbs and vegetable starts for my pots outside.…

  • Interview With The Sleuth’s Dilemma Stars #Books

This past week I had the thrill of having The Sleuth’s Dilemma featured in a blogging blitz. It was so fun to click to several blogs each day and be reminded of interviews I’d done and posts I’d written and forgotten about. One in particular was a bunch of fun and I thought I’d share it with you here today. Below is the post I submitted to be featured. Nancy Daley is the star of The Librarian Sleuth series, however each book has a secondary romance thread with point of view characters. I had a blast writing Anna’s story in The Sleuth’s Dilemma. I’m torn about which woman to interview…

  • Spring Has Sprung #Hope

It’s a relief to finally see spring bulbs bursting from the earth and blooming cherry blossoms adorning the trees. Spring in Oregon can be extremely rainy which makes be especially grateful for the sunny days. Doesn’t the orchid above remind you of sunshine? 🙂 I love this quote from Bernard Williams The day the Lord created hope was probably the same day he created Spring. What is your favorite season?

  • A Writer’s Attempt at Instagram

Somewhat recently I joined Instagram, and I must say I love it. I resisted for a very long time, but now that I’m there it is one of my favorite time wasters–I call it a time waster because I love to simply scroll through and admire all the pics there. A few of my latest posts are below. If you look at my wall of pics on Instagram I kind of have a theme going–books and coffee or tea. 🙂 When I first started there, I was clueless. I generally don’t think to take pictures, so when I’m out and about the last thing on my mind is pulling out…

  • What Do You Think?

Since I’m basically starting from scratch with this blog, thanks to losing all of my subscribers when I had my  blog moved to my website, I’d like to hear what you would like to see on this blog. Historically, I’ve used this blog to inform readers about new books, but I’m open to something knew.

  • Until I Met You is Free

I made the decision this past week to make Until I Met You free, indefinitely. It was something I had been tossing around even before I started writing the book but never followed through with. Last Sunday while listening to the sermon at church we were challenged to live a generous life. Part of my response to that challenge is making Until I Met You free. 🙂 Here is the link for it on Amazon. It’s also available at B&N.  The story is the prequel to The Reluctant Groom.  The blurb is below the graphic. Graphic designer, Brandi Prescott hopes to work her way to the top at the Seattle ad agency where…
