  • The Key to Success

On the way to church this morning my husband and I were talking about a movie we had watched the day before about Mr. Rogers–I happen to be big fan. I loved watching Mr. Rogers when I was a child and also watched it with my own boys when they were young. As my husband and I watched the movie, we learned that Mr. Rogers spent a lot of time as a child sick in bed, which caused him to use his imagination to entertain himself. I chewed on this until we were on our way to church, when I randomly announced to my husband that I believe it’s the…

  • Author in Crisis Mode plus Book Sweeps Giveaway

Happy Monday! As I write this post it’s Thursday afternoon, and I’m an author in crisis mode. I’m supposed to be writing the third book in my Librarian Sleuth series, and boy am I struggling. Have you ever tackled something so big you weren’t sure if you’d finish? I know I will finish–I have no choice since it’s a contracted book. That being said, I’ve enlisted the help of my secret weapon critique partner lol. She writes mysteries, and of all the writers I know she is uniquely equipped to talk me off the proverbial ledge I’ve trapped myself on. 🙂 Speaking of The Librarian Sleuth series, book two releases…

  • And Then There Were Two

The picture above was taken at Epcot this past holiday season. We escaped from Oregon to Florida and froze lol. In spite of the cold temperatures we had a wonderful time. It looks like this picture was taken on one of the two warm days we were there. 🙂 Son number two was home from college for three weeks. He flew back to school Saturday night. I will miss him but I’ll admit, I really do enjoy being an empty nester. I enjoy the quiet and only having to think up meals for two people. Although we treasured the time when our boys were kids and growing up, this is…

  • New Release From Kimberly Rose Johnson

It’s difficult to believe it is already 2019. I hope your new year has started off well! You might be aware that I had a book in a Christmas collection this past fall. Now that the collection is no longer available you can download Until I Met You as a single title.  As you can see from the picture above there are three books, so far, in my Brides of Seattle series. I hope to add to the series this year.  I’m currently writing the final book in my Librarian Sleuth series for my publisher. It’s been slow going this time around. Please pray my process picks up. I would…

  • Happy New Year!

As we begin 2019 I’m thinking ahead to all I want to accomplish this year. It’s always a challenge for me to find balance between work and play. I tend to work too much and live life too little. Last year I felt like I had a good handle on it until fall. Then everything went nuts. I took last week off of work and have enjoyed spending time with my youngest son who is home on break from college. Now I feel refreshed and ready to get back to writing. The key will be balance, just like last year. I don’t make resolutions but I do set goals for…
