When I offered to be an influencer for Pamela’s new release Thyme for Love, I was tossing the idea around about doing author interviews. She was more than happy to do an interview here even though she’d be the first ever. Thank you, Pamela for stepping out with a newbie to the world of author interviews and welcome to Kimberly’s Musings. Read on to find out how to win a copy of Thyme For Love. Q: To begin with, please tell us about Thyme for Love. A: April Love has always dreamed of being a chef. When her Aunt Kitty hears of a in-house chef position for a non-profit organization…

A Biltmore Christmas
The four novellas in A Biltmore Christmas are sure to delight anyone who enjoys a sweet romance. Each story follows orphaned sisters as they venture out on their own, away from the orphanage. In A Carolina Christmas, Charity Bradford moves to the Biltmore estate to be a servant and meets Clay while visiting the stable. She assumes he is an employee of the estate and the two strike up a fast friendship. In A Proper Christmas, Selma Bradford is hired to be a chambermaid at the Biltford estate during the busy holiday season. On her first morning at work she walks into Jacob Sinclair’s bedchamber and is shocked to find…

Attracted to Fire
DiAnn Mills’ romantic suspense Attracted to Fire is a winner from start to finish. There is a threat against the Vice President’s daughter so her security detail is doubled. Meghan Connors and Special Agent in Charge Ash Zinders seek to figure out and stop the threat before it’s too late. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The suspense was top notch and the romance stronger than what I’ve come to expect from a romantic suspense. My experience lately is that romantic suspense books have intense suspense, but lack in the romance. That is not the case in Attracted to Fire. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the romance and highly recommend…

Always the Wedding Planner Never the Bride
Sandra D. Bricker’s, Always the Wedding Planner Never the Bride is a continuation of her Tanglewood Inn series. Actually I don’t know what the series is called, but this is the third book that takes place there, so I’m dubbing it the Tanglewood series. In Always the Planner… we follow Sherilyn as she takes on the position of wedding planner at the Tanglewood Inn where her best friend is the baker. Her fiance is a sports medicine doctor and moves along with Sherilyn to Atlanta where he will be working at a sports clinic. Their first goal as a couple is to find and purchase the perfect house, but Sherilyn…

The Gathering Storm
The Gathering Storm, by Barbara Warren is a “whodunnit” that was recently re-released in e-book format. I first read this book several years ago, but have never forgotten it, so I think it’s worth telling you about. Stephanie Walker hasn’t seen or spoken to her father since the day of her mother’s funeral three years ago, but he shows up unexpected an asks her to come to the Harrington Lodge in the Ozarks and keep an eye out for him. He suspects something is going on and he trusts his daughter to tell him the truth. However, Stephanie doesn’t trust her father and refuses to oblige. She’s surprised at how easily…

Hidden in the Everglades
As a writer, I’m in the process of putting together a book proposal. Part of the proposal is finding books that are similar in some way to the book that I am pitching. My search came up with Hidden in the Everglades, by Margaret Daley, about a former cop turned bodyguard. The similarity between that and my own storyline is eerie. Thankfully that’s where the similarity ends. I must confess I haven’t finished this book yet, but so far I’m impressed. It’s fast paced, and if you like that kind of read, then you will love Hidden in the Everglades. The story opens with a murder and a former female…

Fantasic Christian Fiction Finder
Have you ever wondered how to find out about all the Christian novels out there? Let’s face it, the book stores can’t carry all the novels available and it’s almost impossible to discover a new author at one of the one line retailers. American Christian Fiction Writers has come up with an answer to this problem. The organization better known as ACFW has created a fiction finder site that lists books by genre and gives you a blurb about the book. Check out https://www.fictionfinder.com/ to find your next great read. For those of you hoping to see a book review, check back next week. I’ve been extremely busy trying to…

What I like about Fall
As the title suggests I like fall. Here in the northwest we have all four seasons. But the best part about fall for me is the cooler weather. Yes, I’m one of those people who prefer moderate temps and some rain now and then. Below is my top ten list of things I like about fall. I’d love to hear what season is your favorite and why. If you were hoping for a book review, I’m sorry. I only review books I really like at last week was a dud. Hopefully I’ll have some exciting title to tell you about next week. Now on with the list in no particular…
