Holiday Kickoff

I don’t know about you, but I like to do at least one Christmas related event/outing sometime in November or December. I’m sure any extroverts who are reading this right now are thinking “only one?” I’m an introvert through and through so I have to make an effort to do something that is holiday related. This year my husband and I wrapped up a business trip with a vacation to Disney World.
It was so crowded! I had been warned but it was probably as crowded as I’ve ever seen it and we’ve gone there a number of times during the holiday season. Anyway, that’s not what this post is about. I simply wanted to share some pictures from our recent trip.
We realized during this trip that the rides didn’t do it for us anymore. In fact, it’s safe to saw we didn’t really enjoy them, but what we did enjoy were all holiday decorations. I LOVE Christmas decor. We spent about a half day in each park, then we resort hopped to see all the decorations at their hotels. Below are some of my favorite pictures from our trip.

Isn’t the detail work on the real gingerbread house and carousel spectacular?  That house is big enough for people to be inside.

My favorite thing to do during the months of November and December is to look at holiday decorations, including light displays. What is your favorite thing to do? Please share in the comments.

I love looking at Christmas decorations. Some nights, my husband and I ride through local neighborhoods and enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas. Years ago, we started the tradition of me wearing my pajamas while we ride around to look at the lights. 🙂 Merry Christmas to you and your family.
