What kind of Life do You Want? Tips for Living a Healthy Abundant Life

Do you want to live a life filled with peace and joy or a life filled with angst and anxiety?

I choose peace and joy!

Last week I talked about living a life of abundance. How did you do? Were you able to use any of the steps to help you?

This week I thought we’d go a little deeper and discuss one aspect of living an abundant life. We are physical and spiritual beings. This week I am going to address our physical being and ways to create help us live an abundant life. Next week we’ll discuss our spiritual beings.

From a physical standpoint what we eat, drink, and how we spend our time all reflect on our physical bodies. There are consequences to the choices we make. For example, if I have sugary drink I usually get a headache. When I exercise I have more energy. See what I mean. Every action we take or don’t take has a consequence. If I skip my workout, I might feel sluggish, or anxious. I find that physical exercise helps my mood and releases stress.

In short, be kind to your body. Feed it healthy fuel and exercise. I like to spend 45-60 a day working out, then I take a long walk later in the evening with my husband. Everyone is different. Maybe a 20 minute workout is what you can manage–go for it! Don’t let lack of time discourage you. Perhaps five minutes here and five minutes there works for you. Studies have shown that exercise is cumulative. It so happens a long workout fits my schedule and lifestyle better at this time, but I’ve been the sneak in five minutes of squats and leg lifts girl too, and guess what? It works just as well!

How we treat our bodies will have a direct impact on our quality of life. Be good yourself. Make healthy choices and enjoy a more abundant life.

You bet, Melissa. It’s tough being an emotional eater! I’m one too. I’m trying to make better choices though. It’s always one decision at a time, one day at a time.
